Autumn Loves Winter

Autumn and Winter are lovers who can never touch…

… Autumn craves Winters embrace…

… she feels the cold power of Winters allure…

… she flirts ever closer to her forbidden, older sister. But, just as their lips touch…

… Autumn fades into Winter…

… Winter is left with the taste of Autumns leafy breath lingering in her mouth, and her long, sleepy journey to Spring just beginning.

Daemon Fall

When a Daemon loses control of the colossal power she has wielded for so long…

… that energy rips her Daemon shell apart…

… she explodes across the sky of whatever primordial world she was working on, often creating one last world in her dying, pyrotechnic paroxysm…

… but it is only her Daemon shell that is destroyed…

… she is transmogrified, in those cathartic seconds of atomic annihilation… she becomes something else. She finds herself on one of the nascent worlds she built. She is no-longer Daemon, she is made of nearly indestructible star-matter…

… she is now a World Guardian, her aeons of building work are over, she can now rest for a while. Eventually this world will have other, mortal inhabitants, who she will care for. To them, of course, she will be a god.

Daemon Demise

The Daemon work tirelessly, for thousands of years, realising the intentions of the World Builders…

… whether they were alien, human, or god to begin with becomes irrelevant…

… they become Daemon. They begin to resemble the material they work with, to contain the same awesome power they wield…

… they begin to burn with the force of a star’s core…

… their sheer strength of mind contains this force for thousands more years…

… but, eventually, they forget to contain it, they actually begin to become what they are building…

… they burn, brighter and brighter, losing themselves in their mission…

… until they lose containment.

New Hanging

We hung my latest work in our Artemis gallery, the other day. I put one downstairs, and five upstairs. The downstairs one now means my newest Mj work is now sharing space with my oldest Mj work. Though my Mj work has definitely matured since I first begun playing with it, nearly a year ago, now, I still really like those first works, and feel they nicely compliment my latest work…

… I absolutely love these latest images…

… not only are they exactly what I wanted Mj to depict…

… but I also seem to have perfected getting Mj to give me consistent, relevant backgrounds…

… as I said in a recent post, I achieve what I want to get from Mj by actually not doing what everyone else seems to do! I’ve found I get my best results from constant reiteration of promising images with very limited prompts…

… and by liberal use of ‘re-rolling’, and the ‘Vary-Strong’ tool…

… it has all payed off with these gorgeous, rich images…

… that convey exactly the amount of drama…

… and majesty that I wanted them to…

… splendidly evoking the stories in my head (:

World Builders: Daemon

While the god-like World Builders are the ones who spin the general outline of stars, planets, and solar systems…

… there are another class of being who do the close-in, much more hands-on world building…

… these beings are called Daemon, and their function is to fill in the outlines created by the World Builders…

… the Daemon work right in the heart of the systems they create…

… working with the rawest, raging energies needed to build suns and planetary cores…

… over millennia, the Daemon take on the characteristics of the primal forces they wield…

… they begin to burn like the suns they build…

… they need all their concentration to prevent themselves becoming their own creations.

GBTH-Art Incubator

Today we visited the Art Incubator space…

… there are 8 gallery spaces here, each showing a different artist…

… each space is obviously decorated by the artist…

… so they are all unique…

… there’s some good art, here, and I really enjoyed the interesting spaces…

… there’s a wide variety of styles here, too.

Bambi gets Lost (In Virtual Reality)

Bambi was all set for a night of fun in Virtual Vegas, but she found herself here, instead…

… she’s not sure where ‘here’ is, only that it sure as hell isn’t Vegas, and that everything keeps changing, even her avatar…

… she’s been here for months, now. She never gets tired, or thirsty, and she has to admit, it’s kinda pretty here. She’s not sure what to do. None of her verbal, or mental commands to her VR rig seem to work, and, even weirder, she can not feel, or even really remember her physical body, so can’t even manually disconnect…

… what Bambi doesn’t know is that, milliseconds after she logged in to her VR rig, her house was hit by lightning. Millions of volts killed her body…

… and her mind got blasted into virtual reality… but not her cheap VR rigs virtual reality, she got blasted through that, into the virtual reality that underlies holographic reality. She is here forever.

World Builders

These woman work in a cyberspace environment, building virtual worlds…

… or, perhaps they aren’t even real woman…

… perhaps an AI created them, and lets them think they are real…

… their function is to spin virtual worlds out of molecular gossamer…

… or, perhaps the worlds these artistic geniuses create aren’t virtual, perhaps they are real…

… and perhaps these woman aren’t woman, real, or AI-generated…

… perhaps they are gods?

SciFi Dream

I really feel I am getting somewhere with Mj, these days. I can go a few days constantly creating work I consider substandard… it’s still usually pretty good, but not as good as the above image, or anything I consider my best, these days. I’ve previously explained my work style, but I’ll recap… I simply create shit-tons of images! I doubt any of you really understand just what that means… I literally churn out hundreds of images a day, and if they are even reasonably good, I save them to my hard drive, so I have thousands of saved images from which to draw…

… I don’t think I even use Mj how it was intended to be used, now. I seldom use explanatory prompts, any more… I have a handful of ‘secret’ prompts, usually only a single word, that I use to develop promising images. I usually take a previous image I want to develop, put that in the prompt line, followed by one of my amazing single words, then another image that will reinforce the direction I want to evolve the image, then the aspect ratio, and that’s it…

… I found that using all kinds of explanatory prompts sometimes gets ok images, but to me, who, of course, has my humans biases, they are all cliched and predictable. The human has been an artist all its long life, an artist who has always been drawn to scifi. Although the human is a very good artist, what the human was drawn to, as a teenager, was book and album cover art… the human always considered this to be ‘art’, but, as an adult, discovered this was considered ‘illustration/design’, not ‘Art’. Whatever. As a result of it’s lifelong fascination with this style of art, the human is very familiar with artists and styles in this genera, so instantly recognises when they are being imitated, which is what you get when you ask Mj to create a specific genera of art… you get imitations of other peoples work, which isn’t what I’m going for, here, I want to use Mj to create my own work…

… so, as I said, I often go days creating average stuff, and then I’ll start creating reasonably good stuff, and start planning to post some of it… and then, using my chosen method of development, which often throws out alternatives to the images I’m pursuing, I’ll suddenly produce stuff as stunning as the work in this post, and I’ll be on a roll, often for days!…

… none of these images have any prompts mentioning colour, scifi, fashion, woman, alien plants, none of that. All I do, now, is choose images from my vast store, and reiterate them. I’m pretty sure Mj is very familiar, now, with what I like, because I often see elements/themes in a new image, that are from images I produced weeks, even months ago…

… I’ve called this post ‘SciFi Dream’ for several reasons. One is that they could be illustrating just that, a scifi dream. Two is that they really are ‘SciFi’ dreams, in that they have been created using an incredible, AI programme, something straight out of scifi…

… but the main reason is that these are the humans dream images… these are the ‘art’ the human always wanted to create, who cares if elite oiks don’t consider them ‘Art’?, to the human and I, they just are…

… we adore the ‘alienness’ of these images. That alienness is something the human has always wanted to portray, and we feel that that is Mj’s greatest contribution, here… the AI, which is, really, about as ‘alien’ as you can get, has a stunning ability to create beautifully rendered, fabulously exotic, alienness.

Panjin

Yesterday, Flutterbye and I visited beautiful Panjin

… this is a wonderfully minimalist build…

… apparently based on a real location in China…

… it is mostly a vast sea of red plants…

… with just a few, perfectly placed objects…

… if you know me, you know I adore this type of scenery…

… the vast red plant field leads down to a small beach, into which several streams also flow from the red acres…

… apart from the red ground cover, it is very similar to any tidal estuary/plane my human has encountered in New Zealand, so we would imagine that high tide would cover this red verdancy…

… hence the boardwalk… the red growth must look amazing beneath the water…

… we stood and watched the frozen sunset…

… our back to a Martian field, in a world eternally approaching twilight.
