InFormal Lounge

InFormal

A right turn in Seraphim’s entrance foyer…

InFormal2

… will take you into her ‘informal’ lounge…

InFormal2a

… this lounge is pure ‘Seri-Style’…

InFormal2a1

… filled with an eclectic collection of art, cuteness, and whimsy…

InFormal3

… Seraphim has quite a collection of gorgeous plushies, beautiful objects of art…

InFormal4

… interesting furniture…

InFormal5

… dolls…

InFormal6

… and curiosities, like her skeletal ‘ghost cat’….

InFormal7

… she loves this room, with all it’s gorgeous stuff…

InFormal8

… which is just a small part of her collection of stuff…

InFormal9

… she is enjoying decorating her new home…

InFormal10

… creating this cosy place.

Formal Lounge

FormalL

Seraphim has finally finished decorating the ground floor of her new home. She will, of course, continue to change, move, and replace everything here, but, for now, she’s happy she has established a basic framework. When you enter the entrance foyer, you can turn left, and you will enter the formal lounge…

FormalL2

… this lounge is filled with classic furniture/decor…

FormalL3

… it’s very elegant and sophisticated…

FormalL4

… with just the slightest touch of whimsy…

FormalL5

… this is Seraphim showing she is able to do ‘formal’.

Screw Cancer

Screw Cancer

Seraphim returned to the SciFiCon, today, to continue her exploration. She has found the convention to be, by far, the most enjoyable one she’s ever been to, and infinitely more rewarding than the Fantasy Faire, which she found vague and confusing. Today she purchased a Solares ‘Racing Queen’ jacket, the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. The jacket has ‘Screw Cancer’ emblazoned on the back.

Screw Cancer2

The Solares stall was quite spectacular…

Screw Cancer3a

… as was the general area it was near. Just after taking this image, SL crashed for Seri… the third time it’s happened at the SciFiCon, over several days. Each crash has been the same… unlike the usual crash, that leaves you with a frozen screen, or a greyscale screen with a dialogue box saying stuff is broken, these crashes have all been instantaneous, one moment her human is looking at SL, the next moment, whatever other screen is open… poooff! This was pretty irritating. Seri had to log back in, then plod back to where she had been, though she did, after the last crash, start saving her position regularly, though it didn’t happen again, and she finally made her way through all, or most of the sims…

Screw Cancer4

… returning home and putting out some of the goodies she bought, including the ‘pop art’ storm troopers, behind her.

What’s Lost Spirits

WhatIsLost

Seraphim returned to further explore the SciFiCon, last night. She bought herself a very cool robot horse, and was riding it as she explored, when she came across…

WhatIsLost2

… a very interesting shop called ‘What’s Lost Spirits’…

WhatIsLost3

… it was a little shop of wonders…

WhatIsLost4

… filled with beautiful, strange things. As she does, Seraphim clicked on one of the beautiful things, to read its creator’s profile. She discovered that ‘What’s Lost Spirits‘ was a place, so she teleported there…

WhatIsLost5

… it was a wonderfully strange place…

WhatIsLost6

… like a nightmare crashing into a dream…

WhatIsLost7

… she intends to come back very soon.

2020 SciFiCon Again

SecondSciFiConShots

Seraphim returned to the ScFiCon, yesterday, to continue her exploration…

SecondSciFiConShots2

… there was much more to see in the ‘Abyssal Depths’ sim she had first landed in…

SecondSciFiConShots3

… pretty plants, and…

SecondSciFiConShots4

… pretty fish everywhere. Seraphim has never really understood these conventions. To her, they always look the same, a whole lot of buildings in some theme-park, filled with boring advertising, and, usually, not even selling anything. Sometimes there are cool exhibits, but usually not… it’s as though the rule is for them to all be cluttered and boring. So, she was pleasantly surprised with how lovely this area was…

SecondSciFiConShots5a

… she made her way to the surface, where there are several more sims, most looking more like she expected them to look. She did find this very cute, retro-futuristic cafe…

SecondSciFiConShots6a

… retro-futuristic, 50’s deco is one of Seri’s favourite styles…

SecondSciFiConShots7

… and this little cafe had it totally nailed. There was much more to see, so she landmarked where she was, and called it a day.

2020 SciFiCon

SciCon

Seraphim got sent an LM for one of the organisations with a stall at the 2020 SciFi Convention…

SciCon2

… she wasn’t expecting the landing point to be under water…

SciCon3

… it was a submerged cityscape, with beautiful aquatic flora and fauna…

SciCon4

… very pretty…

SciCon5

… Seraphim had just begun to explore, and just started to find interesting places…

SciCon6

… when SL crashed for her! As it was late in the evening for her human, they both decided to come back tomorrow.

Foxwood

FoxWood

Seraphim visited the Alchemy store, in Foxwood, this evening…

FoxWood2

… a lot of the store seems to be outdoors. While the setting is really just window-dressing for the items…

FoxWood3

… Seraphim found the sim to be extremely beautiful, in a Maxfield Parrish kind of way…

FoxWood4a

… she found the scenery and colours…

FoxWood5

… perfectly suited her mood.

Ocean Pearl

OP

Seraphim just visited Ocean Pearl

OP2

… the landing point is at sea level, where there’s a shanty town. You make your way up a long flight of stairs (or you can fly) to the urban, sci-fi-grunge area. This part has a lovely, drawn, comic-book feel…

OP3

… which Seri always likes. The thing she found most interesting, here, though…

OP4

… was the amount of static/animesh characters she’s never seen before…

OP5

… as an inveterate explorer, she is used to all the standard, prop, characters that are often placed in builds…

OP6

… almost none of the ones she saw here were ones she’d seen anywhere previously…

OP7

… they, too, had a drawn/comic-book look, and fitted beautifully in the build…

OP8

… there were so many of them, it didn’t feel like there actually wasn’t another, single, avi here…

OP9

… Seri has never heard of Ocean Pearl, before, so, suspects it’s relatively new…

OP10

… she hopes it’s around for a while.
