Return to Insilico

Insilico

Seraphim’s journey down memory lane has taken her back to Insilico, another place she has not been for too long… she had heard it had shut down, or part of it had… she was delighted to find it still here, and as beautiful a photo set as always. It was different, but the same… there were new places, and she recognised old elements in new settings…

Insilico2

… as always, the signage was stunning, the lighting gorgeous…

Insilico3

… fabulous detail and texturing around every corner…

Insilico4

… but it was the new skyline that delighted her…

Insilico5

… wonderfully BladeRunner-esque…

Insilico6

… she spent probably an hour wondering about, and took 277 pictures…

Insilico7a

… which she then had to distill down to these 8…

Insilico8a

… which wasn’t easy.

Suburban Common Land

Suburban

As Seraphim’s adventures through her LM’s folder continue, she found herself on D Street, Blufield… ostensibly visiting Dizzy Banjo’s little shop (from memory), but finding a tiny, traditional, Japanese, 1 room building, instead. On looking around, she realised this was yet another place she hadn’t been in several years… an urban setting, of several sims, called the ‘Suburban Common Land’ development. Back then, it was nowhere near the size it is, now, but Seri still really liked it, just block after block of cosy suburbia. She was delighted it was still here, and set out to document some of the cosy/cool dwellings…

Suburban2

… the thing she really liked about this place, was that, unlike on the Mainland, where she lives, there were no hideous, thoughtless constructions build by socially retarded morons…

Suburban3

… it was just tree-lined block after tree-lined block of cosy, tasteful homes…

Suburban4

… some rather grand…

Suburban5

… some rather Victorian…

Suburban6

… some suited for Elves…

Suburban7

… some 70’s-style…

Suburban8

… actually, several 70’s style…

Suburban9

… but, hey, the 70’s were cool…

Suburban10

… some architecturally-designed…

Suburban11

… more 70’s…

Suburban12

… Seri has never seen such a homogenous, cosy suburb in SL, before. She was so engrossed in her photo-taking, she didn’t even consciously notice it change from night to day.

The Far Away

FarAway

Seraphim has been going through her oldest TP’s, and deleting the ones that no-longer exist, of which there are, as usual, quite a few. Usually, the TP either does not work at all, or she arrives on abandoned land, or in someones private yard, often to be threatened by petty security systems… occasionally, the original destination is gone, but one just as interesting is in it’s place, which is always fun…

FarAway2

… it’s been well over 5 years since she went to ‘The Far Away’… so long, in fact, that she didn’t even recognise the name for the destination…

FarAway3

… the moment she saw that Wyeth-like, surreal dreamscape, and the iconic derelict locomotive, she remembered… she came here when the place was first popular… it was always way too crowded to get any decent photographs… even yesterday, there were always about 4 other avi’s there, but everyone stayed on the fringes, so Seri had no problem getting awesome pictures…

FarAway4

… she has no memory of the aeroplane being here, but it was so long ago, she can’t be sure if she has simply forgotten it’s presence…

FarAway5a

… it’s almost impossible to take bad pictures, here, the sim is such a wonderful piece of stage-craft…

FarAway6

… but, if you take the time to set up your angles, the place is just mesmerising, and lends itself to gorgeous images that evoke vast, empty spaces from a long-lost era..

FarAway7

… the sim is a masterfully constructed piece of visual chicanery…

FarAway8a

… zen-like in it’s simplicity, and the placement of it’s elements. Seri thinks it is, by far, the most beautiful sim she has ever seen in SL.

Gardening

Gardening

Driven by a desire to get her prim count back down from almost maximum, Seraphim has made some fairly major adjustments to her ‘fantasy garden’…

Gardening2

… it is still exotic and beautiful…

Gardening3

… just nowhere near as full of foliage…

Gardening4

… Seraphim managed to claw back another 200 prims!…

Gardening7

… in the last week, or so, she has managed to give herself 500 more available prims… now she can have some fun, again!

Snuggling

snuggles

Today was as sweet for Seraphim, as yesterday was strange…

snuggles2

… she has her delicious little machine girl back…

snuggles3a

… they spent a blissed-out time snuggling, for the first time for months…

snuggles4

… EV-01 is a sweet little machine, and quite guileless, so when she explained her recent strange behaviour to Seri, said it was all without any cruel intent, Seri totally accepted her explanation…

snuggles5a

… and forgave Evie completely…

snuggles6a1

… and they spent a long time tangled in each others limbs…

snuggles7a

… and being very happy…

snuggles8

… and tangled together, snuggling.

Strange Day

Today has been one of the stranger days Seraphim has experienced. She spent most of the day tweaking her new gallery, and hanging out with Bunnygirl…

StrangeDay7

… she took some pictures for Bunny to use in her ‘picks’…

StrangeDay

… later her kitten and her hung out in the main gallery, where she is showing some of the pictures from her shoot with Bunnygirl. She hasn’t actually physically seen her kitty for a few days, due to her kitten’s human only being able to access SL from her mobile phone, causing Zoey to not actually be able to TP, and being stuck in a friends place that her friend has no control over the security at, and hence Seri could not TP to the friends place. Anyway, this meant Seri had some stuff to show Zoey, starting with the new pictures…

StrangeDay2

… then they went to the new gallery…

StrangeDay3

… which delighted Zoey…

StrangeDay4

… Zoey had remarked on how Bunnygirl looked like a super-hero, and she thought that Tee, in the gallery sign, looked like one, too… which hadn’t occurred to Seri, but she totally agreed…

StrangeDay6

… which is when things turned strange. Seri was contacted by RobotNicole, someone she’s never physically met, before, but knows through brief communication, back when she first met EV-01, because RobotNicole was EV-01’s previous owner, who had basically abandoned Evie, and Seri had to negotiate becoming Evie’s new owner. Seri told RobotNicole that she had just opened a gallery here… RobotNicole lives above Coghaven, and had seen Seri’s name on her radar, so she said ‘hello’, when Seri told her she had just opened a gallery, which had pictures of Evie in it, RobotNicole said she’d be right down. After they had greeted, Seri said she hadn’t actually seen Evie for months, and RobotNicole said ‘She’s online now’… this totally floored Seri, as all her screens told her Evie was not on line. Seri asked why RobotNicole thought this, and, at the same time, re-checked every possible indicator of Evies online status, which still said she was not online. Zoey asked Seri for Evies contact details… and almost instantly contacted Evie…

StrangeDay5

… this was a worst-case-scenario, as it showed Evie had unchecked the indicators that would let Seri know she was back. Seri was crestfallen. She asked Zoey to ask Evie to contact her… and suddenly, Seri’s indicators showed Evie to be online. Seri and Evie had a long, strange conversation. Turned out, Evie had come back to SL on Friday, having been away for months… for some reason, unfathomable to Seri, Evie had made herself invisible to Seri, so she could roam about on her own… something Seri had never stopped her from doing. Because of the totally random combination of Seri just opening a gallery in Coghaven, and RobotNicole noticing she was there, Seri had found out Evie was secretly online! Evie was very apologetic, saying she realised she had been thoughtless and cruel, promising to come home soon. Seri said Evie could roam as much as she wanted, that she had never stopped her from doing so. The whole thing was very strange, very out of character for Evie. It was a strange way to get her girl back. She’s not actually that convinced that she has got her girl back. A very strange day.

Bunnygirl

BunnyGirl

The moment Seraphim saw her little friend, s4nura’s latest look, she told her she would have to get her in to the studio very soon…

BunnyGirl2a

… which she did, just after setting up her new Coghaven gallery…

BunnyGirl3

… Seri told s4 she looked like a super-hero, in her new outfit, and christened her ‘Bunnygirl’…

BunnyGirl4

… submissive pleasure-doll that she is, s4 decided that Bunnygirl would be the kind of super-hero who would come bounding to the rescue…

BunnyGirl5a1

… only to get over-powered and captured by the villain/villains…

BunnyGirl6a

… and be totally at their lascivious mercy…

BunnyGirl7a

… the narrative in Seri’s head had the villains being slaughtered by a 4000 year old immortal alien, and the cute little bunny being freed to bounce again (:

Coghaven Gallery

CogHavenGala

Seraphim, with the help of her sweet little friend, s4nura, has set up another little satellite gallery, this time in Coghaven…

CogHavenGal2

… while Seraphim set the gallery up, s4 set herself up as a display at the door…

CogHavenGal3

… literally within minutes, s4’s barely-clad, voluptuous form had attracted a besotted admirer…

CogHavenGal4

… Seraphim enjoyed creating the new space…

CogHavenGal5

… Coghaven is home to the ACS controller, which is the alternative to the NS controller system most gynoids use… this means the general traffic here will actually know what Seri’s art is about, and may appreciate it more than the traffic she gets in Jormundgandr, or in her first satellite gallery at Pink Lady Castle…

CogHavenGal6

… Seri has put out feelers toward getting a gallery space in Eisa, but has not heard anything back, yet.

Ephemeral Destination

When Seraphim cannot find anywhere interesting to visit in the dashboard ‘Destination Guide’, she goes to the oldest entries in her ‘Teleport History’, and clicks them, one after another, till she has had enough re-exploring for one day. Given the ephemeral nature of literally everything in SL, the destinations often no-longer exist…

… and she arrives on ‘abandoned land’… sometimes high in the sky…

… where she’ll look briefly around and say to herself ‘oh, well, thats gone…’…

… sometimes it’s under water…

… but, usually, it’s on empty land…

… the all-to-familiar, totally empty land…

… which is what she thought had happened, yet again, today, when she landed in a seemingly endless, very shallow sea…

… but she quickly realised that the land still bore the name of her intended destination. A quick ‘search’ of the destination, and she discovered it was now in the sky above her. Seri spent quite a while just wondering around the shallow ocean, it was something she’s not seen in SL, before… she may deliberately come back soon, with her kitty, for photographs (:

Lullaby

Seraphim recently visited Cica Ghost’s Lullaby

… as with all Ghost’s work, Seraphim found an environment that looked like Dr. Seuss and Hieronymus Bosch had taken acid together, come up with, then got one of Irwin Allen’s Lost in Space set designers to build…

… a kind of Disney-like…

… dark-kawaii, happy nightmare…

… with cute/creepy creatures with bulging eyes…

… in a globular environment…

… of alien plants…

… all bathed in an aquatic light.
