Using the ‘blend’ function in Mj, we combined some of our gorgeous girls with a photo-collage we made 7 years ago, where we had blended, in PhotoshopCS5.1, trees in front of a sunset, clouds, and a seagull…
… we’d already made some Mj images of pretty babes and curtains and mist…
… we are blown away with the results…
…really beautiful…
… we’ve hung these, and four others, in our Littlepaws gallery (:
While most Demon Fae are content to live out their long lives in the wilds, near their estranged kin, some, usually the most powerful, find service in the grand courts of the Elite Elves…
… here they serve as mages…
… they are known as ‘Tame Dragons’…
… this is from an ancient, Elvish saying which, roughly translated, goes; ‘It can be very beneficial to keep a tame dragon, just do not step on her tail’…
… while Elite Elves are incapable of fear, they entertain an extreme respect for these, often, frighteningly powerful, and often inscrutable creatures…
… and, while they always serve honourably, and provide irreplaceable council and skills for their Elvish employers, they always only have one reason for taking such positions… to help their sisters exterminate Demons.
Because common Fae are such sweet, guileless, inquisitive beings, they often wander into the darker parts of the forest, where they fall prey to the brutal, carnal desires of Demons. The offspring of these forced unions are Demon Fae. Demon Fae always keep the beauty of their mothers, but usually also exhibit physical, Demon characteristics…
… though they also always retain their Fae goodness, they are shunned by their common Fae ‘sisters’, who are terrified of them, and shunned by the Demon world because they hate Demons (for obvious reasons) and kill them whenever they can, although some of them are more tolerant of their evil cousins, and just avoid them…
… some of these Demon Fae are very powerful, combining the power of both races, and often fight alongside their Warrior Fae ‘sisters’, who are not as scared of them as their common Fae sisters, and always welcome the aid of their darker ‘sisters’ in battle.
These three, and five other images from our ‘Sweet Demon Fae’ series can be seen in glorious virtual reality at our Soho gallery (:
We visited Drone Haven, the other day. There are a lot of cats in this post-apocalyptic reality…
… the windlight, here, and the pallet, is/are richly dark (darkly rich?)…
… this is a kind of ‘gentle’ apocalyptic future…
… dark, and devoid of humanity, but in no way sinister, or threatening. We saw a few other avi’s, while we were there. A few years ago, we would have said ‘hi’, but we’ve been snubbed so often, recently, we actually can’t work up the enthusiasm, any more, which is very sad…
… the cats are all very well fed, and not in the least timid…
… it’s nice, here. We prefer these kinds of sims, that show someones imagination, rather than just formulaically ‘safe’ ‘destinations’ that, while bright and sometimes pretty, are usually extremely bland…
… we got some different perspectives from some of the roof-tops (they don’t all have physics, though)…
… and from this tower. It’s actually a fairly large sim.
Happy New Year, everyone! We just wanted to let you know we are still here. Life has been serious for the human these last six months, with huge new realities to confront and work through. This hasn’t left much time for us, here in SL. Art, and Second Life, have been forced well down the priorities list… not because they aren’t priorities, not that at all, but that they just haven’t been possible.
Things are returning to a new ‘normal’, now, however, and we hope to be spending more time active, here, in SL, again. If you know us, you know we have been constantly ‘playing’ here the last 15 years, and these past 6 months have been quite traumatic for us/the human, not being able to be here. We are hoping that will change for the better (:
