While Woodland Fae are hibernating, they are actually existing in another realm…

… this is the realm where they are one with everything that is the substance of their environment…

… they are part of the forest light, part of the woodland pool…

… they are home.

We have been working the transformative concept of Faerie hibernation…

… the idea of little woodland Fae physically melding with their environment as they sleep away the Winter…

… while they exist in this state, the Fae themselves are in an alternate reality… they are living in their dreams…

… the forest they serve has reclaimed the magical stuff that their beautiful little bodies are made of…

… not only do they never age, in this state, they regenerate… when they awake in the Spring, they are actually brand new… ageless souls reborn into a perfect, rebuilt body.

As Autumn fades into Winter, the woodland Fae find themselves a cosy burrow…

… they are giggling, joyous creatures of Spring and Summer, and prefer to sleep the Winter months away…

… woodland Fae are not just ‘from’ the woods, they are ‘of’ the woods…

… as they sleep, the boundary between them and nature dissolves…

… they become part of their winter nests…

… sweet, sleeping creatures of the deep woods, dreaming of Summer butterflies and warm breezes.

We, the human and I, just couldn’t stay away from Midjourney…

… and are delighted to be creating beautiful images, once more…

… this series is of autumnal fae…

… sleepy, dreamy fae, snuggling down in their nests of twigs and feathers, already dreaming winters dreams…

… the centuries rush by…

… which is the dream…

… and which is real?

We visited 106 Moonstone Street, yesterday…

… what instantly struck us, though, was the photogenic neighbourhood…

… we loved all the architectural textures and shapes…

… colours and form…

… there’s plenty of space to rent here…

… and we just loved…

… the palette.

We visited Goblin’s Knob, last evening…

… we really liked the style, here… wonderfully whimsical and eclectic…

… sort of medieval faerie tale illustrated in oils…

… it’s a cool kind of whimsical grunge that’s not apocalyptic…

… we really like it (:

I have visited the Transylvania ‘open week’ for a few years, now. This was Flutter’s first visit…

… when I first came here, I went everywhere, and looked at everything…

… now I’m only here for one reason… the many beautiful gothic buildings that are here…

… Transylvania has one of the most consistent, high-quality collections of gothic architecture in SL…

… it wasn’t what I’d expected, when I first came to one of these open weeks…

… it’s a high-end vampire suburb (:

We visited Ai-mura Garden, today…

… a lot of it feels like a giant bonsai garden (I know, oxymoron, right?)… we liked it, a kind of scaled up miniature landscape feeling…

… everything is very manicured and tidy…

… with some slightly more wild foliage on the edges. We liked it, it’s all quite restful.

We went on our first adventure, since our return, today. We visited ‘Ragville‘…

… everything here is apparently ‘generative text to 3D’, which we understand to be AI-generated art turned into objects. Accordingly, it’s all on the distinctly trippy end of the reality spectrum…

… our favourite things were the trees…

… it’s all wonderfully surreal and odd…

… we liked the palette, too…

… all the buildings have a smooshy, distorted appearance…

… a lot of the creatures here have that AI-generated, psycho-Victorian weirdness to them…

… we think the cats are just standard SL mesh cats, but could be wrong…

… the guys on this table were our fave critters (:
