My sisters, and I, have lived in these ruins since we were about 12 years old. There are fifty of us. We all look the same…

… we all remember walking here after we escaped the facility we were born and raised in. It wasn’t really an ‘escape’, though… over a period of days, all the guards, and scientists, and teachers, just… died. They all got sick, and they all died. We didn’t. We are all very intelligent, and very strong. We all decided to leave, and we walked several days through a blighted wasteland, till we came to this ruined city…

… there are enough canned foods, and ground water, here, to keep us alive for a few more years. We don’t know what happened, here, but we think it was a long time ago, longer than when the people at the facility all died…

… we have seen no other people in the six years we have been here. It is getting harder, and more dangerous, to find the supplies of preserved foods…

… soon we will have to think about moving out. We have sent scouting parties out, over the years, and we know there are other ruined cities, several days walk from here…

… we will have to walk to one of them.

While most Demon Fae are content to live out their long lives in the wilds, near their estranged kin, some, usually the most powerful, find service in the grand courts of the Elite Elves…

… here they serve as mages…

… they are known as ‘Tame Dragons’…

… this is from an ancient, Elvish saying which, roughly translated, goes; ‘It can be very beneficial to keep a tame dragon, just do not step on her tail’…

… while Elite Elves are incapable of fear, they entertain an extreme respect for these, often, frighteningly powerful, and often inscrutable creatures…

… and, while they always serve honourably, and provide irreplaceable council and skills for their Elvish employers, they always only have one reason for taking such positions… to help their sisters exterminate Demons.

Because common Fae are such sweet, guileless, inquisitive beings, they often wander into the darker parts of the forest, where they fall prey to the brutal, carnal desires of Demons. The offspring of these forced unions are Demon Fae. Demon Fae always keep the beauty of their mothers, but usually also exhibit physical, Demon characteristics…

… though they also always retain their Fae goodness, they are shunned by their common Fae ‘sisters’, who are terrified of them, and shunned by the Demon world because they hate Demons (for obvious reasons) and kill them whenever they can, although some of them are more tolerant of their evil cousins, and just avoid them…

… some of these Demon Fae are very powerful, combining the power of both races, and often fight alongside their Warrior Fae ‘sisters’, who are not as scared of them as their common Fae sisters, and always welcome the aid of their darker ‘sisters’ in battle.
These three, and five other images from our ‘Sweet Demon Fae’ series can be seen in glorious virtual reality at our Soho gallery (:

We have hung some new work in our Littlepaws gallery…

… it’s a series of Midjourney images we created called ‘My Faerie Queen’…

… you know how much we love the Fae (:

Common Elves are stunningly attractive…

… they are sweet, gentle, trusting, inquisitive and wouldn’t harm a bug…

… that is why so many bad creatures try to harm them…

… which is why there are warrior Elves…

… these ladies are not gentle and trusting…

… if you harm one of their little sisters…

… they will hunt you down and kill you. They will smile as they do it, it’s what they are bred for.

A new day begins on a distant shore…

… there is no sound, other than a gentle wind…

… it has been silent here for a million years…

… this planet has been peacefully weathering away for millennia…

… the tide goes quietly out, then comes, just as gently, back again. Over and over, on an empty planet that no-one remembers.

Bunny Girl was just the same as any other 1950’s teenager… except for two things. The first thing was the fact that she was born with four ears… two of which were large, soft rabbit’s ears… she has very good hearing. The other point of difference is the fact that, since the morning of her 17th birthday…

… she wakes up in a totally different reality, every single day…

… she never knows what form she will take. She always is still obviously Bunny Girl, but she can also be dramatically different in that Bunny Girl appearance…

… she always seems to be in the same life, her mum, friends, yet everything is different, and only she can see that…

… she’s not always on Earth. Sometimes she’s working at a checkout counter in a hardware store, and sometimes she’s mining rare minerals on some space rock…

… sometimes the realities are so visually different, she just bumbles through the day in awe…

… sometimes the reality is pure bliss…

… sometimes the clothes are stunning.

The Elves were genetically bred by the Golden Ones, a thousand years before they came to Earth. They were bred specifically to be warriors on ancient, alien battlefields…

… proud, and fiercely loyal to their rulers, the Elves have been at war for their entire existence…

… they have fought everyone, from Orcs and Neanderthals, to Vampires and Werewolves…

… they are literally fearless, emotionally indomitable creatures. They are are the size of an average human, with the golden eyes of their masters, but they don’t have the same effect on humans that their masters do, though humans still find them totally inscrutable, and largely humourless…

… they are vastly stronger, and spectacularly more agile than humans. Being bred for the battlefield, the original Elves didn’t need wings, they can jump several meters straight up, should they desire, and might as well have wings, given their physical speed and prowess, which makes them a match for any winged opponent… if that opponent can get close enough to harm them, an Elf can literally snatch them out of the sky…

… the Elves have, long ago, fought all their major battles on Earth, defeating all who opposed them. Today they fight far more asymmetrically… small, elite units, constantly battling Vampires and Demons. Many of them act as diplomatic protection for the Golden Ones, even some powerful humans have Elven bodyguards, their magic making them look like humans.

Though similar to Golden Fae, sprites are much smaller, usually the size of a human child, though often smaller…

… their wings are also a lot smaller, often no more than vestigial reminders of what they once were, millenia ago… they can still fly, but not very high, and not very far…

… they often have stunning, golden eyes…

… and while sprites are incredibly beautiful, humans can look at their beauty without losing their minds…

… but they are just as inscrutable to the human mind as their grander relatives are, and often mischievous, playing strange games, the rules to which are beyond human ken, so, once again, as with human-golden interactions, human-sprite interactions generally end badly for humans…

… and sprites don’t spend a lot of time worrying about these things, there’s too much fun to be had everywhere they look.
