We visited Goblin’s Knob, last evening…

… we really liked the style, here… wonderfully whimsical and eclectic…

… sort of medieval faerie tale illustrated in oils…

… it’s a cool kind of whimsical grunge that’s not apocalyptic…

… we really like it (:

I have visited the Transylvania ‘open week’ for a few years, now. This was Flutter’s first visit…

… when I first came here, I went everywhere, and looked at everything…

… now I’m only here for one reason… the many beautiful gothic buildings that are here…

… Transylvania has one of the most consistent, high-quality collections of gothic architecture in SL…

… it wasn’t what I’d expected, when I first came to one of these open weeks…

… it’s a high-end vampire suburb (:

We visited Ai-mura Garden, today…

… a lot of it feels like a giant bonsai garden (I know, oxymoron, right?)… we liked it, a kind of scaled up miniature landscape feeling…

… everything is very manicured and tidy…

… with some slightly more wild foliage on the edges. We liked it, it’s all quite restful.

We went on our first adventure, since our return, today. We visited ‘Ragville‘…

… everything here is apparently ‘generative text to 3D’, which we understand to be AI-generated art turned into objects. Accordingly, it’s all on the distinctly trippy end of the reality spectrum…

… our favourite things were the trees…

… it’s all wonderfully surreal and odd…

… we liked the palette, too…

… all the buildings have a smooshy, distorted appearance…

… a lot of the creatures here have that AI-generated, psycho-Victorian weirdness to them…

… we think the cats are just standard SL mesh cats, but could be wrong…

… the guys on this table were our fave critters (:

We are back (:
The human spent 5 weeks in hospital, it was very grim for the first 3, then just horrible, but hopefully that’s all behind us, now. Human is home, looking at a very long, slow recovery. We are all very glad to have survived this horror ordeal.
Love and hugs to those who wished us well (:

Flutters and I have been aimlessly wandering, these last few days…

… we’ve had fun…

… checked out some favourite haunts…

… in a few days, the human might cease to exist. This will mean that I will cease to exist. This will mean FlutterBye will cease to exist.
We both really want that not to happen.

Maison de L’amitié is a collection of photographic backdrops…

… loosely strung together…

… the overall impression is of ‘gritty grunge’…

… but it’s a very tidy, safe kind of urban decay…

… with lots of colour…

… and shapes and textures…

… which make for detail-rich imagery.
In just under a week, my human will undergo a 7 hour surgical procedure… with a 16% chance of dying on the operating table. If the human survives that, there will be 1-2 weeks in intensive care, with a high chance of several life-threatening complications. If the human survives that, there will be 6 months, minimum, of recovery.
At the least, there will be no posts, here, for a few weeks, as of next week… at the worst, this blog will stop.

Infinite Darkness has a beautiful palette…

… that makes for wonderful, graphic novel-like scenes…

… this is an environment of bridges and stairs…

… which lead to various, equally mist-enshrouded…

… parts of the build. All great for photographic fun…

… we startled this little black cat so badly, she froze on the spot…

… as we climbed higher, through the rain, we hoped the little black cat was better…

… and then we were at the top, feeling like characters in a graphic novel.
This is a very abbreviated account of our exploration, here, there’s lots to see, even a tunnel to Hell.

From the balcony of our apartment in Hangars Liquides…

… we can jump straight into a graphic novel-like scifi futurescape…

… a perfect place for us to stroll…

… amid vast, echoing halls of brutalist grandeur…

… where any kind of broken, repressive stuff could be happening…

… but, usually, it’s too wet for that…

… and everyone stayed home…

… everyone stayed home.

It’s been a few years since we visited Luanes World…

… this iteration is really beautiful…

… it is trance-inducingly quite and gorgeous…

… with a Tardis-like distribution of different environments…

… in which to slowly wander…

… ever-entranced…

… as in a dream…

… of a dream you once had.
