Seraphim visited Wonderland, this evening. Straight off, at the landing point, it was obvious this wasn’t a conventional ‘Wonderland’…
… it was quite surreal…
… while obvious ‘Wonderland’ tropes were there, there were also more ancient, pre-‘Wonderland’, but still, somehow, ‘Wonderland’ themes…
… it all worked well, together, and was very pretty…
… quite ancient themes were to be seen…
… and some scenes…
… were simply stunning.
Seraphim decided to go walkabout, today, something she’s not done for a long time, possibly years. Starting at the Story Motel, she just walked around, looking at houses from the street… too many nasty ‘ejects’, over the years, have made her extremely wary of going onto peoples plots, no matter how inviting they look. This one was wonderfully ‘suburban’…
… this one, dauntingly ‘elite’…
… this one, a happy medium…
… this one nicely eccentric…
… this one, slightly more so. There are so many wonderful homes to see, sometimes, when you just walk about (:

Seraphim visited the ‘Midnight Sanctum Gallery‘, last evening…
… there was some very good work there…
… she was pleasantly surprised… there were no SL ‘art’ nudes, or fractals, which was a wonderful change…
… just thoughtful, intelligent photography… all of which was for sale. Her favourite thing there, though…
… was this gorgeous bird sculpture, which she would totally have bought, but it wasn’t for sale!
*Seraphim has since found out that this gallery is the ‘Third Eye’ gallery. She also wound up with one of the gorgeous bird sculptures, thanks to Annie Brightstar, who told her where to get it.
When she’s feeling creative, Seraphim often tries quickly designing posters or covers for non-existent books, just as a warmup. This is one about an alien babe who, um, travels to exotic places and has adventures (:
Seraphim visited Cica Ghost’s latest installation, ‘Summertime‘, yesterday…
… as always with a Cica Ghost production, Seri ran with the existing windlight…
… she has always found the light in Cica Ghost’s worlds to feel liquid/sub-aquatic, but the light at ‘Summertime’ can only be described as ‘bilious’… it is the most extreme/alien windlight Seri has so far seen in a Cica Ghost world…
… there were a lot of angry/cute cattle around.
Seraphim visited ‘Dream Village‘, today, after seeing it featured on Annie Brightstar’s wonderful blog…
… she found an exquisite little sim…
… filled with wheeling seabirds…
… and leaves blown in the seaside winds…
… delightful photo-ops, everywhere…
… with plenty of nostalgic whimsy…
… a really lovely little place…
… to wander around and dream.
Seraphim hasn’t been in SL much, lately. Her human moved homes three weeks ago, a massive logistical exercise, familiar to anyone who has done so. The human has lived the last 4 years in a tiny flat in an appalling ghetto, most of its possessions were in storage, as they wouldn’t fit in the flat, or the human wanted to lessen the odds of the expensive stuff being stolen, so left it in storage. The human has moved to a fabulous place in the country, the difference is like the difference between horror and fantasy. The human is still unpacking, but finally has time to indulge Seri, again.
The first thing Seri did was, of course… go shopping! She bought this gorgeous trellis to go with a raised garden she installed a while ago…
… she also bought, by the same artist, some stained glass butterflys to go in the garden, and compliment…
… the wonderful stained glass hummingbird inset in the trellis…
… she also bought this toilet/basin/mirror set…
… to go with what she already has in her bathroom. The toilet has several animations, including peeing, peeing and reading, and, of course, vomiting…
… she also wound up with pretty much the entire set of this gorgeous Victorian bedroom suite gacha, including the ultra-rare bed…
… when all she’d been playing for was the lovely old paintings, of which there were three, but she just couldn’t manage to win the third one… she’ll probably have another try, as she gets kind of obsessed with things like that (:
Seraphim visited les Jardin des Arts, the other day, on the recommendation of her extremely talented friend, Djehan Kidd…
… she found a really beautiful, cyberpunk sim…
… like a Dali painting…
… but what Seraphim truely adored…
… was the astonishingly gorgeous art on display, here…
… none of which was for sale…
… which was probably a good thing…
… as Seri would have bought it all.
