Colorfull

We recently visited the Colorfull Gallery, an exhibition of the private collection of Manoji Yachvili…

… those of you who have known us a long time will remember the huge private collection we used to exhibit in the vast spaces we would build, ever expanding, to house that hungry beast…

… we found this collection to have very much the same aesthetic that our one had… we would happily have included almost every work here. Wonderfully, for us, we had never seen any of these excellent works, so we really enjoyed perusing them. We also really liked this kiwi setup… the human being a Kiwi (from New Zealand), we are always drawn to kiwi’s and Kiwiana in SL, mainly because we so seldom see it…

… we know what it is like to curate and display a collection of this size…

… and we think Manoji Yachvili has done a wonderful job…

… we very much enjoyed our visit (:

Sweet Demon Fae

Because common Fae are such sweet, guileless, inquisitive beings, they often wander into the darker parts of the forest, where they fall prey to the brutal, carnal desires of Demons. The offspring of these forced unions are Demon Fae. Demon Fae always keep the beauty of their mothers, but usually also exhibit physical, Demon characteristics…

… though they also always retain their Fae goodness, they are shunned by their common Fae ‘sisters’, who are terrified of them, and shunned by the Demon world because they hate Demons (for obvious reasons) and kill them whenever they can, although some of them are more tolerant of their evil cousins, and just avoid them…

… some of these Demon Fae are very powerful, combining the power of both races, and often fight alongside their Warrior Fae ‘sisters’, who are not as scared of them as their common Fae sisters, and always welcome the aid of their darker ‘sisters’ in battle.

These three, and five other images from our ‘Sweet Demon Fae’ series can be seen in glorious virtual reality at our Soho gallery (:

Hanging in Hangars

Equipped with our latest-version Firestorm viewer (it’s been several since we updated), Flutters and I went for a walk through our hood

… could be our imagination, but everything looked a lot lusher…

… of course, we love it here, we’re sure we’ve told you that…

… this is one of our very favourite places in SL…

… we were joined by our friend, Fau… three exotic creatures, hanging in Hangars Liquides (:

SciFi Cathedral

We visited ‘Everlast‘ recently. These collonade’s made us think of ‘Time Tunnel’… not because they are a spiralling tunnel, which they obviously are not, but because they look like something similar, something that could actually be a futuristic teleportation device…

… we got a strong scifi vibe from the whole build…

… we loved the clean lines and limited palette…

… this could be the set for a scifi story…

… we particularly liked these framed views…

… a beautiful, futuristic set…

… beneath a flat, alien sky…

… where unknown tales will play out.

Gothic Splendour

I have visited the Transylvania ‘open week’ for a few years, now. This was Flutter’s first visit…

… when I first came here, I went everywhere, and looked at everything…

… now I’m only here for one reason… the many beautiful gothic buildings that are here…

… Transylvania has one of the most consistent, high-quality collections of gothic architecture in SL…

… it wasn’t what I’d expected, when I first came to one of these open weeks…

… it’s a high-end vampire suburb (:
