
After the flood, nothing was ever the same…

… the rules and norms of ‘normal society’ just dissolved in all that water…

… everyone, and everything just became adrift…

… left to adapt to the new reality…

… in a watery world where everyone just sat around waiting for someone else to fix things…

… and, meanwhile, the tide went in and out as though nothing had changed.
I love the surreal urbex look to these!!

Same! If you’ve ever read anything by J G Ballard, his stories were almost always about the surreal collapse of society, and those collapses were often due to floods, or rising tides… lots of ennui amongst destroyed, urban landscapes (:
