Ooops…

It turns out that now that we lost the habit of regular posting (admittedly due to shitty cancer and all the problems it’s caused us), we simply cannot get it back…

… we will do our best to, at least, make a few more posts, as it looks like we could live a few more months…

… but we just can’t make any promises, now…

… we are still, mostly, managing our daily 1 hour walks, but even they have been a bit erratic recently, though more due to state of mind than physical inability…

… we are still enjoying our garden, and we spend a lot of time reading…

… speaking of our garden, the spring crops are now coming on… we are so glad we planted and tended them as, in all honesty, we were just going through the motions because it’s what we’ve always done, and we didn’t really expect to live to see them begin to come to fruition.

  1. Glad to hear your garden is doing well. Sadly, we’ve had a very dry summer here, and that curtailed some of our fruit crop. 🙁 Autumn hasn’t been much of an improvement, so we’ve literally cut our losses with the (normally) late-fruiting raspberries and are trying to keep the rhubarb alive with regular watering. (By hand, since there’s a hosepipe ban in effect in our area.)

We recently gave up our rental parcel and became a wandering nomad in Second Life. It has proved quite cathartic, as we realised we’d accumulated a LOT of decor and knick-knacks over the years and had used hardly any of them. So now it’s just clothing and wearable items in our inventory, plus a few keepsakes. 🙂 Exploring the mainland is rekindling our love of this virtual world, something that has been missing for a long while.

    Big virtual hugs,
    Spiffy. 👽

    1. It took us, literally, a couple of years to de-couple from SL, and the wonderful homes we created there. Not only did we create them, but we lived in them, we used to spend several hours a day in SL, often just landscaping/decorating our homes… so we, too, accumulated an insane amount of decor and knick-knacks; it was very, very hard for us to let go of all that. When we weren’t hiding in our homes/galleries, we spent the rest of our first 8 years in SL just walking around the mainland… there were often not even any roads, you had to use that function on the map that gave dotted outlines of where it was safe to walk and not be instantly evicted. We enjoyed it all very much, it was a far nicer place to get lost in than our RL (:
