New Apartment at Hangars Liquides

Flutter and I took posession of our new apartment, in the rebuilt Hangars Liquides, the other day…

… it is more spacious than our previous HL apartment was…

… the style is instantly recognisable as Djehan Kidd’s amazing work

… of course, the first thing we did was put up pictures. We chose cyber-influenced work to match the surroundings…

… we had a coffee break… well, Flutter doesn’t actually drink coffee, but she enjoys the smell, and feels left out if I don’t pour her a cup, too…

… then continued our work…

… we are very happy with the look/style we have created, here…

… no home of ours is complete without a generous helping of cuteness, of course…

… we’ve already, since I shot this post, made some changes… this glass enclosure now has one of Djehan’s gorgeous bathtubs in it, and the plants have been reshuffled, just leaving one in with the tub…

… the bedroom is tiny, but very cosy, like a cabin in a spaceship (:

Before Dawn

Lizbeth Morningstar has a new exhibition at her Starborn Gallery

… the gallery, itself, is a lovely piece of light and shadow, with gold-accented transparency the overall theme…

… I would describe Lizbeth’s previous work as ‘soft-focused whimsy’, with ‘Monet-like colours’, and I love her previous work. This work, however, while still soft-focus, and still wonderfully whimsical…

… has a far richer, colour-saturated palette which, if you are familiar with my own style, is a palette I adore…

… the opening for ‘Before Dawn’ is Saturday April 15, 7am-9am SLT, there will be a DJ.

Didi’s Journey

Hey, everyone (:

I’ve never done this, before, but this is me requesting my followers to visit another avi’s blog. I’ve been following didiyuki’s blog for a while, now, and I just don’t understand why she doesn’t get more attention. She takes lovely, thoughtful photos which, to me, should be reason enough for more attention. Please go and show her some love (:

A Stroll Through Hillvale

We’re back! It’s been a very long time since Flutters and I visited a new destination, my obsession with Midjourney has mostly been to blame, but, it’s not like we don’t regularly check the Destination Guide, we simply haven’t seen much that grabbed us, and the few places we actually have been, were less than inspiring, until we discovered Hillvale, the other day…

… we were instantly smitten, this is totally our kind of place…

… the fabulous sky, the gorgeous neon, the apocalyptic grunge…

… it’s like Drune meets Tralala’s Diner, without the lag…

… beautiful colours, just the right amount of clutter and motion…

… not an element out of place…

… lots and lots of pretty photo opportunities…

… we spent a good half hour, here, just walking and stopping, and taking pictures…

… like I said, it’s the first sim we’ve visited for a long time that’s really grabbed our attention…

… well worth a visit…

… we strolled right to the end of the main street, where there is a beach. There are nice places to rent, here, too, but the rent is a bit out of our league, otherwise I’d seriously have considered renting here, just because it’s such a pretty place.

Nimbrethil

Flutterbye and I visited Nimbrethil, yesterday. It is, given what time of year it is, Halloween-themed… yes, I finally gave in and joined the herd!…

… I even dressed for the occasion…

… but Nimbrethil doesn’t push the season down your throat, there is plenty of gorgeous, photogenic-to-the-max scenery to explore…

… beneath an equally gorgeous astral canopy…

… the colours and windlight here are fabulous…

… there’s a castle and a graveyard, but we preferred to roam the beautiful purple and golden woods…

… which eventually give way to this very picturesque shore…

… with it’s mysterious, veiled Isles in the purple mist…

… this is a beautiful destination, and we highly recommend a visit, especially for photographers (:

New Project

house

Seraphim doesn’t know about the rest of you, but, recently, the lag across ALL of SL, has been HORRENDOUS… she has decided to stay at home, and potter with a new ‘still life’ project. For this project, she’s going to outfit this amazing house she got for FREE from Trompe Loeil

house2

… not only did she get a free house, but she got this free lounge suite there, too… these things are no longer for sale, for nothing, there, but there are another house (an A-frame), and furniture, there, for free. Seraphim has no words for how fucking wonderful she finds it, that this creator is GIVING this amazing stuff away… and, it’s not just nasty rubbish, like so much free stuff in SL is, it’s very high quality, beautiful stuff!…

house3

… Miss Panny (Pandume), as Zoey used to call her, before Zoey vanished from Seraphim’s life, came over, to see what Seri was up to… her cute, winged-demon self was Seri’s first visitor to her new project.

Ephemeral Destination

When Seraphim cannot find anywhere interesting to visit in the dashboard ‘Destination Guide’, she goes to the oldest entries in her ‘Teleport History’, and clicks them, one after another, till she has had enough re-exploring for one day. Given the ephemeral nature of literally everything in SL, the destinations often no-longer exist…

… and she arrives on ‘abandoned land’… sometimes high in the sky…

… where she’ll look briefly around and say to herself ‘oh, well, thats gone…’…

… sometimes it’s under water…

… but, usually, it’s on empty land…

… the all-to-familiar, totally empty land…

… which is what she thought had happened, yet again, today, when she landed in a seemingly endless, very shallow sea…

… but she quickly realised that the land still bore the name of her intended destination. A quick ‘search’ of the destination, and she discovered it was now in the sky above her. Seri spent quite a while just wondering around the shallow ocean, it was something she’s not seen in SL, before… she may deliberately come back soon, with her kitty, for photographs (:

Lullaby

Seraphim recently visited Cica Ghost’s Lullaby

… as with all Ghost’s work, Seraphim found an environment that looked like Dr. Seuss and Hieronymus Bosch had taken acid together, come up with, then got one of Irwin Allen’s Lost in Space set designers to build…

… a kind of Disney-like…

… dark-kawaii, happy nightmare…

… with cute/creepy creatures with bulging eyes…

… in a globular environment…

… of alien plants…

… all bathed in an aquatic light.

Hanging with a Kitten

The other day, Seraphim saw a review on the indefatigable Inara Pey’s blog, for the SG33E RoadRunner… the moment she saw it, she saw herself and her baby on it… so, the first thing she did after her baby logged on, this morning, was take her for a spin around their neighbourhood… Zoey Zoe Zoe loved it!…

… then Seraphim took her kitty to Lutz City, as she’d been wanting to do, all week… ZZZ loved the place from the moment she laid eyes on it…

… this was Seraphim’s third visit, and she still found new places to explore…

… even places for a bit of raunchy dancing…

… Lutz City is very beautiful, the perfect place to take your baby…

… seeing how much ZZZ was enjoying herself filled Seraphim’s loving, alien heart…

… it was a very enjoyable outing.
