Ugly Neighbour

The area on Mainland, where Seraphim has her home and her current gallery, has seen a sudden explosion of building and parcel-buying in the last few weeks… going from comfortably empty to suddenly crowded… the plot of land right beside the gallery has changed hands twice in the last few weeks, first having a cute little shop on it, now, as of yesterday, having thoughtless morons owning it…

uglyNeighbour

… who have put up banlines (cannot be photographed) right against the side of Seri’s beautiful, light-filled gallery… causing her to have to replace the side windows and lovely, glass roof, with solid wall and roof, because, no one enjoys art that is framed/backed by hideous, bright yellow banlines…

uglyNeighbour2

… the whole time she was changing her gallery to suit her new, moron neighbours, she was fuming and raging to herself (and to AVA, via IM)… why does anyone do something that thoughtless and inconsiderate?… why does anyone put banlines around an empty plot of land?… do they think someone will walk on the basic ‘ground’ texture? Couldn’t they see, figure out for themselves, how intrusive their ugly, juvenile proclamations of ownership would be to the established neighbour? Seri concluded that, no, they couldn’t, because they were morons. So, as the banlines prevent Seri even being able to identify them, in order to open a dialog, she made an elegant little sign, to welcome them to the neighbourhood, but they probably can’t read, either.

*edit*

Evie pointed out to Seraphim that she could just pan in and click on the land, to get the land details… something she had stupidly not considered… which she did, and now she knows who owns the land… Evie also reminded Seri she could unselect banlines in her preferences, so she couldn’t see them, another thing she hadn’t thought of… Evie and Tee are not just Seraphim’s gynoid pets, they are cybernetic extensions of her brain.

Lanterns

Seraphim was wading her way through the many exhibits at the Home & Garden Expo, when she noticed lanterns being released from the roof of the elev8 building…

Lanterns

… the air was filled with the sound of many little flames in paper lanterns…

Lanterns2

… attracting an exotic, alien moth…

Lanterns3

… who flew up and landed amongst them…

Lanterns4

… feeling like a black cat amongst burning pigeons…

Lanterns5

… she breathed in the scent of her old hunting companion, the night…

Lanterns6

… and gloried in the sight and sound…

Lanterns7

… of hundreds of flame-filled paper lanterns taking guttering flight.

Cruisin’ 2

Seraphim has taken her favourite toy, in her new toy, to her favourite deserted city, for a blast around the flyovers…

C2

… they cruised the ground level, looking for an access ramp…

C2a

… till they found one…

C2b

… then they went up…

C2c

… and up…

C2d

… and up, into the heart of the concrete jungle…

C2e

… then down, again…

C2f

… the four wheels humming, and the eight cylinders driving the deep growl…

C2g

… back to where they started.

Cruisin’

Seraphim has a fabulous new toy… and it’s not a gynoid…

Rod

… it’s a beautiful hot-rod. Seraphim set off on herĀ inaugural ride in the evening…

Rod2

… cruising effortlessly through the night to the growl of the V-8 motor…

Rod3

… pacing the moon on it’s journey to the dawn…

Rod4

… thundering through the industrial wasteland…

Rod5

… to the other side…

Rod6

… of the night.

New Glasses

When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping! Seri decided she needed some new glasses… she adores her T. Syntax glasses, which cost L$300, but felt like a change, so perused what was available on Marketplace, choosing 4 contenders ranging from, L$99 to L$295. All four were fabulous products!…

Glasses_a

… the cheapest, at L$99, were these very elegant KB Aviators, which fit like a glove, straight out of the box…

Glasses2_a

… the most expensive, at L$295, were these gorgeous Sense Appeal Dragonfly glasses, which look wonderful, and have a re-sizer to get a good fit… very dramatic statement…

Glasses3_a

… as are these super-cute Vintage French Farah glasses, which also fit perfectly, straight out of the box, and cost L$149. All three are beautiful products, and Seri will totally be adding them to her wardrobe… but the hands-down winner, for her, are these…

Glasses4

… SteelHead Lux glasses. At L$195, Seraphim thinks these are the bees knees! They come with a HUD that gives a stunning array of lens and frame colours/patterns…

Glasses5

… and are just a super-elegant, sleek, stylish pair of glasses. Seri has some new faves (:

First Giant

Seraphim was visiting the Fantasy Faire today, with Tee, when she saw her first giant, just as Tee had to return home and go ‘idle’…

FirstGiant

… Seri wasted no time in attracting the behemoths attention…

FirstGiant2

… the behemoth turned out to be very friendly, and, as with gynoids, very willing to pose for Seri’s voracious camera…

FirstGiant3

… her name was Ceri Quixote, and she actually creates and sells giant avatars…

FirstGiant4

… she told Seri that thisĀ 18 meter (55 feet) high avatar wasn’t even her tallest giant avi. Seri hopes to get some better pictures of Ceri in a more spectacular environment.

Not so Many

SweetFire

Seraphim solved a mystery this morning. Her Krey security system had been giving her increasing visitor numbers for the gallery, lately. She wondered where all these visitors were coming from, so she contacted a few of them. One of them came to see her, in response to being contacted, SweetFire was a pilot… there is an airport across the road from the gallery… SweetFire had never been in the gallery, but she had flown over it! Seems a combination of Seri’s security radius being too high, and a new flightpath, were creating false visitor counts. After an awkward conversation, SweetFire said she had to fly, now…

SweetFire2

… walked over the road and onto the runway…

SweetFire3

… materialised a flash little jet…

SweetFire4

… blasted down the runway…

SweetFire5

… leapt into the sky, and was gone.
