New Work

NewVision

Seraphim has hung some of her recent work in New Placebo Gallery…

NewVision2a

… these works are a divergence from the Gynoid photography she has pursued for over a year now…

NewVision3

… but, anyone who knows Seraphim’s work knows this current work is more like what she has produced for the last 9 years or so…

NewVision4

… she is very happy to actually be painting, again… the photography thing was intense, and she was seriously into the subject matter, but her tastes/interests are not concrete things…

NewVision5a

… Seraphim is a ‘creative’, and the very nature of creativity is change/growth.

Yesterday

SeriDay

Yesterday, Seraphim hung ‘Space Music’ in her apartment… she loves being able to make huge versions of her photographs. She decided her white pants weren’t very practical for general lounging, so she changed into her favourite lounging pants…

SeriDay2b

… and did a bit of lounging on her gate platform. Later, Emelia came for a visit, and Seraphim happily showed her new friend around her place…

SeriDay3

…  this, of course, involved the obligatory rave about how gorgeous her Pegasus Alteran Stargate is because, well, Seri does love her gorgeous gate…

SeriDay5

… she gave Emelia the whole tour, which is a lot to take in, but Emelia seemed to enjoy it.

Space Music

SpaceMusic

Seraphim is teaching Zoey to hear the music of space that she, herself, hears in her dreams… the music of space calling to it’s only humanoid daughter. Zoey is mesmerised by Seraphim’s voice… ‘Can you hear the music, baby?’, she whispers… ‘… can you hear it, my little love?’

Seraphim at Home

SeriAtHome

Seraphim owns a fair chunk of land, and there is lots of stuff to see, there… but the heart of her home, is her apartment… it is the only place on her land where you cannot go without permission… this is where she feels the most at home, it’s decorated with some of the enormous collection of art she has accumulated over the years…

SeriAtHome1

… if you know Seraphim, you know she has had vast amounts of her private art collection displayed around her home at various times, but the walls of her apartment are mostly hung with her own work…

SeriAtHome2

… all pieces that are freighted with memories…

SeriAtHome3

… her own art is juxtaposed with an eclectic array of sculptures, figures and interesting stuff…

SeriAtHome4

… some of it quite old, all of it very special to her…

SeriAtHome5

… her own artwork is a diary of friends and lovers…

SeriAtHome6

… her collected artworks are a diary of tastes and interests…

SeriAtHome7a

… and that was just the main room in her apartment.

Gate Platform

GatePlatform

Seraphim loves her gate platform… she’s spent years developing it. The platforms purpose is to support Seraphim’s two stargates, her Opengate, and her Alteran Network gate. The star of these two gates is her Pegasus Alteran Stargate…

GatePlatform3

… this gate is 134 prims, by far the most complex Alteran Gate, but it’s worth the prim count to watch it dial, individually dialing through all the zodiacal symbols as it hunts for the address, each symbol lighting up as it is checked, staying lit when it is the correct one… it’s a beautiful sight. The gate platform is in a style Seraphim has developed, which she can’t think of a better description for, than ‘TechnoFantasy’…

GatePlatform4

… the place is quite pretty.

Old God

OldGod

Seraphim is 4000 years old…

OldGod2a

… she can seem very serious, sometimes… that comes with the territory, she’s seen more than most beings…

OldGod3

… but, due to her genetics, she’s actually just a kid…

OldGod4

… she’s serious often…

OldGod5

… but, when you get to know her…

OldGod6

… she’s a playful creature…

OldGod7

… who loves…

OldGod8

… being…

OldGod9

… silly.

Renting in Maine

MainPost

After reading this post, Seraphim, inspired by the gorgeous photographs, decided to have a look for herself. The first thing that struck her, after landing on the beach, were the strange clouds… she’d never seen these in SL, before. They were obviously some extra layer of ‘weather’ added on to the sim… they looked great when the sky was clear, but clashed with the SL clouds, and seriously clashed with certain types of tree, causing them to appear in front of the tree, which was just plain weird…

MainPost2

… odd clouds aside, the sim was beautiful, full of a wide variety of high-end buildings…

MainPost3

… the ones Seraphim checked ranged in price from one the same as the one above (she didn’t check this ones price, being more interested in the beautiful car outside it) which was L$7500 a week, with 5000 prims, to ones that were L$50 a week, with 200 prims. As someone who has rented a few places in SL, for galleries, Seraphim is pretty sure L$50 a week, with 200 prims is a bargain!…

MainPost4

… which is why she couldn’t resist renting 1 Lois Lane! Most of the time Seraphim was looking around, she was talking to the only other avatar in the sim, who had also come here after reading Alexa’s post! Emelia also was blown away by the lovely sim, and the low prices, and she, also, rented a place. Seraphim invited her for a tour of her new rental…

MainPost5

… of which Emelia was suitably impressed. The two talked for a while, then Amelia had to go, leaving Seri to wander around some more, until…

MainPost6

… she found THIS fabulous place (16 Pearl Place), also only L$50 a week! What was a girl to do, she’d hate for this lovely sim to vanish for want of clients, so she rented it, too!…

MainPost7

… she’s really looking forward to decorating them both, but especially this one, as the internal space is very gallery-like, just what our girl loves most (:
