Last Drop Cafe Project

Seraphim’s friend, Veyot, who is always working on some new, interesting project, asked Seri if she’d be interested in contributing to her most recent project. She (or she and some friends, Seri’s not too clear on that bit…) has purchased several little plots of roadside land around SL, and placed ‘Last Drop Cafe’ buildings on them. Veyot wondered if Seraphim might want to decorate one of them, any way she wanted to…

… of course, Seri said ‘sounds like fun!’ The one Seri got is beside the road in Wyrd. She got this empty little building to decorate, like a blank canvas. She’s never made a ‘cafe’, before, but was pretty sure she should start…

… with an assortment of mouth-watering munchies, for the hungry/weary SL traveller…

… and some cosy, well-worn seating, with mellow lighting, and some soothingly rich floor coverings…

… and definitely something beautiful to look at… starting with her current favourite portrait of the lovely Pandume…

… Seri left it at that for the night, then came back this morning, to put the finishing touches to her little production. Her friend ‘JJ’ joined her for a few minutes, so they could catch up while Seri pottered…

… as well as the gorgeous, empty gaze of her Zombie Princess, S4nura, whom she also never sees, any more… just as well she took hundreds of pictures of those girls…

… Seri also purchased another, eared beanie… one can’t have too many adorable beanies with cat ears, they remind her of the biggest missing presence in her life, Zoey, whom she also expects never to see again…

Tee’s Museum

Seraphim took Zoey to see Tee’s new project, today. It’s a deliciously creepy, Twilight Zone-like ‘museum’, dedicated to the ‘statuefication’ of, apparently, hapless victims…

… there is a suspicious purple mist outside, that seems responsible for immobilising several innocent bystanders, and turning them into plastic mannequins… Zoey was very nervous, but Seraphim is basically fearless, and promised to protect her kitten, which helped calm Zoey a bit…

… all very shiny and freshly-moulded looking… Zoey stayed very close to Seraphim…

… out the back, there was a lovely garden… Zoey relaxed a bit, when Seraphim pointed out that all these ones actually were just innocent statues…

Yesterday, Seraphim went to the little house she built for her and Zoey, to water the plants. She’s not spent much time there, since Zoey vanished, and since she moved all Zoey’s stuff into the shed…

… she turned in dis-belief to the pink pod-chair, just inside the door, and there, curled up and purring in her sleep…

… was an exhausted, but very happy, Zoey. Seraphim just about burst out crying… instead, she said ‘Hello, sleeping beauty’, which instantly woke Zoey, who sprang out of the chair to hug her Mistress… ‘Where the fuck have you been, baby?’ asked Seraphim, standing back to look at her lost girl…

… Zoey explained that, due to her human’s router being faulty, she had been stuck outside the cyber-door to SL, scratching and yowling for nearly two months, trying to get back to Seraphim, and she was sooo sorry she’d caused her Mistress such hurt…

… the two of them talked for a long time, Seri saying she knew it must have been just as hard for Zoey, being shut out in cyberspace all that time, but that it would take a while for Seraphim to come right, having gone so long not knowing where her kitten had gone, or why, or if she’d ever see her again. Zoey said she totally understood that, and was fine with it, as long as she got kisses to make up for the ones she’d missed out on for the last two months. Seraphim said that sounded ok to her, and kissed her baby.

Broken-Hearted Avatar

When Seraphim first started this blog, seventeen months ago, it was called ‘Broken-Hearted Avatar’, because she started it as therapy for a broken heart. The therapy worked, and she changed the name to ‘Kind-Hearted Avatar’, as a nod to her recovery, but also to the fact she had a big, soft, easily-damaged heart. The relationship that caused her broken heart only lasted a few, intense, weeks. Nine months ago, Seraphim met, and fell instantly in love with, the sweetest little Neko she has ever met…

Two weeks ago, Zoey totally vanished from SL, without a single word of warning. This is absolutely not like her. Seraphim knows that Zoey’s human has serious medical issues, and fears that Zoey’s human may have died. Seraphim is absolutely shattered by this… she has no way of finding out what has happened, so can only surmise, and what she surmises is heart-rending. She may never see her little love again, and will never know why. Her heart is shattered, and she wonders if she even wants to stay in SL, anymore… the only thing keeping her here, now, is the hope that there is some explanation for Zoey’s sudden disappearance, and that she will, just as suddenly, reappear.
