Continuing a Theme…

CornHub

This morning, Seraphim took her new D-Lab Flying Saucer for a spin, later that day, she read this post, by the always-interesting Ricco Saenz, it led her to the Cornhub sim, a sim whose theme is…

CornHub4a

… flying saucers…

CornHub5

… flying saucers and apocalyptic decay with that usual Fallout flavour…

CornHub7a

… as someone who actually is from another planet, Seraphim finds this stuff delightful…she loved the palette/lighting here, finding the juxtaposition of colour/harshness quite beautiful.

UFO Trippin’

ufoTrip

Seraphim had one last D-Lab flying vehicle to take for it’s first spin. Accordingly, she climbed into her D-Lab Flying Saucer, and set out from Bunny Field…

ufoTrip2

… she flew past Tattoo parlours…

ufoTrip3

… road-side diners…

ufoTrip4

… cafe’s…

ufoTrip5

… marina’s…

snap_041a

… cosy gardens…

ufoTrip7

… and road-side attractions…

ufoTrip8

… finally landing on the ground floor of Placebo Gallery, which she has decided to keep. She stood, for a long time, looking at a picture of her beautiful, sweet Zoey, wishing with all her heart to see her soon. When she bought her D-lab flying vehicles, she specifically got the two-seater ones, except the Inago, which was just too cool not to get, so she could take Zoey with her on flying adventures. She hopes that will still happen.

Space Truckin’

spaceTruck

When Seraphim bought her D-Lab SP-Inago, she also bought several other D-Lab flying vehicles, one of which was this super-cute D-Lab Mini Air Truck. She took it for it’s inaugural spin around the block, today, going left from her gate platform, this time, and right around the block, so she came back from the right…

spaceTruck2

… it’s years since she’s made this circuit and, though there was the usual wasteland where once there were homes and shops, she found the coastal part still built up, and even saw some places that were there years ago…

spaceTruck3

… the coast was very picturesque…

spaceTruck4

… and, heading back inland, it was nice to see the cute topiaries beside the Circuit La Corse…

spaceTruck5

… she flew her gorgeous little space truck on into the dusk…

spaceTruck7

… really enjoying being on the road again, free as an alien in a levitating truck…

spaceTruck8

… finally touching down, once more, in the ‘Bunny Field’, next to her gate platform… home again, home again.

Constant Inconstant

TeesPlace

Tee is Seraphim’s most constant/inconstant friend, she comes and she goes, from SL, but she always returns. She is Seraphim’s oldest, both in terms of avatar age and duration of friendship, friend. Tee was the first Gynoid Seraphim ever asked to pose for her, she remains, still, the most beautiful representative of her species Seri has ever met…

TeesPlace2

… it was no surprise, though no less delightful, for Seraphim to discover Tee was online, this morning, having been absent for, probably, months. Tee told Seraphim she was building herself a new home, and would her Mistress like to come and see it? Of course Seraphim wanted to come and see it…

TeesPlace3

… Tee has an impeccable aesthetic. Seri was delighted to see Tee had changed her black/gold colour scheme to black/green. Tee happily showed Seraphim her new home, which she had created to match her new colours…

TeesPlace4

… Seri felt her recent worries dissolving in this gorgeous place with her gorgeous, consistent friend…

TeesPlace5

… Seri loves Tee’s powder-dry wit, and her calm, clinical demeanour… not to mention the sound of her drive systems…

TeesPlace6

… and she loved Tee’s new place, very much…

TeesPlace7

… she left Tee happily decorating the inside of her home, and went back out into SL, smiling and refreshed.

Solace of the Road

Ride

Seraphim nosed her recently acquired D-Lab SP-Inago G gently out of it’s dock, yesterday, and sailed the gorgeous little machine out over the edge of her gate platform…

Ride2

… on it’s inaugural flight. She headed out on to the Circuit La Corse. Seraphim spent her first few years in SL, wandering the Circuit La Corse on her own. Just as Seraphim’s life is, once again, empty, so the main road through Mainland is largely empty…

Ride3

… there are certainly cosy patches of buildings… the lonely alien traveller felt the nostalgia for those times, before she stupidly handed her heart to others in SL, wash over her, gently soothing the ache, if not away, then at least more into the background…

Ride4

…Seraphim remembers when all of this land was built up, homes and malls stretching as far as she could see… she remembers wandering the Circuit La Corse when parts of it weren’t even paved, just grassy rights-of-way, between hundreds of homes and roadside attractions and stores… she never knew what she’d find, and there was always something wonderful, just over the rise… all gone, now…

Ride5

… just like the feeling she had finally found something she could rely on in SL has also gone, leaving her alone, again, wandering the Circuit La Corse, that metaphor for how illusory any kind of stability in this place is.

Shattered

shattered2

As a result of the ‘Broken-Hearted’ post, Seraphim now knows, through various sources (none of them Zoey) that Zoey is fine, just unable to access SL. These last few weeks have left her feeling like the glass in her phone-box. She feels pretty silly for fearing the very worst, now, with hindsight… but, while it was happening, her fears did not seem silly. She is now re-evaluating her existence in SL.

Hanging With S4nura

S4

Having deleted her Coghaven gallery, and most of Propsville, Seraphim was working up the courage to delete her main gallery, when s4nura IM’d her, asking how she was. Seraphim referred her to her last post, and they had a long conversation about the Zoey mystery…

S4b

… Seraphim decided not to delete her main gallery, just yet, and she went to Eisa, instead, where her and s4 hung out behind the main desk in the NS mainstore, and s4 told Seraphim something…

S4c

… a piece of information which has made the Zoey mystery even harder for Seraphim to fathom, yet has given her a glimmer of hope that the worst may not have happened to Zoey’s human…
