Miss Placebo has pretty much rebounded…

… from her latest bruising encounter with love and trust…

… she’s doing ok.

Seraphim has just discovered, from this blog post, that Hangars Liquides, one of her absolute favourite places in SL, is in danger of disappearing… this is absolutely tragic news. Though Seri has blogged Hangars Liquides several times, already, she felt the need to rush there and take hundreds more pictures, fearing she may soon not be able to do so…

… if you’ve never been here, please visit, before it is too late! There is an Indiegogo page set up to try to raise the money they need, they only have 11 more days, so it’s not looking great…

… the first thing that strikes you about Hangars Liquides is the sheer size/scale of the place…

… it’s huge!…

… it’s full of spectacular industrial vistas…

… truly gorgeous spaces, with beautiful textures on every lovingly-crafted surface…

… it’s so big, it has multiple sim-crossings, and you need to heed the warnings, and fly over them, otherwise really crappy things can happen to you, which kind of detract from the experience…

… the general feel is cyber/grunge/dark/decay…

… but there is hidden humour, such as when Seri went to sit on a bench, and the ‘sit’ she selected made her jump up and do a really gorgeous, sexy little dance, hands behind her back, beautifully weaving her hips/ass about… Zoey would have gone crazy seeing it!…

… when she had finished being sexy, she sat down, and looked about her… she couldn’t believe all this beauty might vanish, like tears in the rain.

Seraphim went back to the ‘Mysterious Paradise Event’ today. She wanted to have another look around, but she also had a very specific goal…

… this little guy! She’d seen him in this glade, last time, and made a mental note to come back and find out who created him, and where to get him, because he was super-adorable!… having found that out, she did a little more exploring…

… she’d noticed these two beauties, last time, too, and wanted to get a closer look. She couldn’t help thinking how much Zoey would have loved them…

… which made her a bit thoughtful, for a while, before she zapped off to get her new rabbits…

… to replace her cute, but now, clunky and outdated rabbits in the bunny field…

… which she has done. The new bunnies are 3 prims each, compared to 8 for the old bunnies, and the new bunnies have much better, more seamless animations, and a better range of colours… there’s even an albino one.

Yesterday, Seraphim showed s4nura her latest ‘backdrop’ acquisition…

… it’s a gothic-ish build… not really technically ‘gothic’, but certainly gothic in it’s dark potential…

… with nice textures and lighting possibilities…

… it wasn’t an actual photoshoot…

… but, you know Seri, her camera’s are always rolling.

Today, Seraphim went to the ‘Mysterious Paradise Event’. Finding the actual ‘event’ pretty underwhelming, she wandered out a side exit, where she found a rope she could shimmy down into an interesting looking wild area. The first things she encountered were the ubiquitous SL howling wolves… she thought the ‘underwhelm’ effect was here, too…

… then she wandered into this wetland area, and started noticing all the gorgeous details, all the pretty wildlife…

… some of which was almost ‘overload’ in it’s cuteness, but not quite, it was just right…

… she continued to find beautiful, charming stuff, such as an Ent in the pollen-laden haze…

… a hawk contemplating her next meal…

… a Kingfisher, just contemplating…

… she slipped whilst trying to get onto a bridge, and discovered that there was an entire underwater world here, too…

… she clambered out of the water, to find herself in savannah lands, with lions and giraffes, then she found a tunnel that took her to an Arctic wilderness, with Polar Bears and foxes… she wound up beside the Arctic sea, the Northern Lights playing behind her. She was entirely blown away by this unexpected landscape of various wildernesses, all gorgeously assembled, and rich in wildlife. She would have to come back, there was just too much to take in in one visit. On the way out, she was more than happy to donate to the World Animal Protection organisation, for which this event and, she assumes, the entire build, are a fund raiser.

Having tested all her recently acquired D-Lab flying vehicles, Seraphim has decided…

… that the little truck is her favourite one…

… it’s not the best looking, but it’s the cutest…

… it’s not the fastest, but it’s the most comfortable to drive…

… testing these vehicles has re-awakened her love of simply roaming the public roads, something she’s not done for several years. She’d thought SL was largely empty, now, compared to how it once was, and, to a degree, she was right…

… but there’s still plenty of interesting, cute, clever, cool, crazy, stupid stuff, out there, to see… stuff you’ll only see if you randomly cruise the roads. She finds her little flying truck far less annoying to use than any wheeled vehicle she’s ever attempted to use in SL, and finds using a flying vehicle way more fun than walking, so, to paraphrase John Wick, Seraphim thinks, as far as random exploration goes, she’s thinking she’s back.

Seraphim has thrown herself into travelling, blogging, and painting…

… sitting up alone in her apartment, listening to Elle King singing ‘Good Thing Gone’…

… surrounded by all her comfortable, familiar stuff…

… stuff that never hurts her, or lets her down… stuff that she can understand…

… when the music ends, it’s too quiet, and she’s still alone.

Today, Seraphim visited ‘The Promise’…

… the recommended windlight is very stark, has a very limited palette…

… Seraphim loaded black & white into her camera drones, just knowing it would look stunning…

… she wasn’t wrong…

… it did.

This morning, Seraphim took her new D-Lab Flying Saucer for a spin, later that day, she read this post, by the always-interesting Ricco Saenz, it led her to the Cornhub sim, a sim whose theme is…

… flying saucers…

… flying saucers and apocalyptic decay with that usual Fallout flavour…

… as someone who actually is from another planet, Seraphim finds this stuff delightful…she loved the palette/lighting here, finding the juxtaposition of colour/harshness quite beautiful.

Seraphim had one last D-Lab flying vehicle to take for it’s first spin. Accordingly, she climbed into her D-Lab Flying Saucer, and set out from Bunny Field…

… she flew past Tattoo parlours…

… road-side diners…

… cafe’s…

… marina’s…

… cosy gardens…

… and road-side attractions…

… finally landing on the ground floor of Placebo Gallery, which she has decided to keep. She stood, for a long time, looking at a picture of her beautiful, sweet Zoey, wishing with all her heart to see her soon. When she bought her D-lab flying vehicles, she specifically got the two-seater ones, except the Inago, which was just too cool not to get, so she could take Zoey with her on flying adventures. She hopes that will still happen.
